Connect your broker in minutes

Pipflow trades through your own MetaTrader 5 account. Your funds stay with your broker; Pipflow is the intelligence in between.

Connection steps

Before you start: you’ll need an MT5 account with any broker, its login, password and server name, and a Starter plan or above to connect a live account.

    Have a MetaTrader 5 account

    Open an account with any MT5 broker. A demo account is fine for testing; you need a funded account to trade live.

    Find your login details

    You need three things from your broker: your MT5 login (account number), your trading password, and the server name. They are in your broker’s welcome email or client portal.

    Add the account in Pipflow

    Go to Settings → Trading and connect your broker with those three details. Pipflow connects through MetaApi. Connecting a live account needs Starter or above.

    Let Pipflow match your symbols

    Brokers name instruments differently (EURUSD.m, XAUUSD-ECN). Pipflow matches each strategy’s markets to your broker’s exact symbols and contract sizes.

    Go live, stay in control

    Activate a strategy and it runs on Pipflow’s servers around the clock (Pro and Elite), within the risk limits you set. Pause it whenever you like.

Can’t reach Pipflow?

Fix a blocked connection in two minutes

If Pipflow won’t load, your internet provider may be blocking it. Pointing your device at a public DNS server fixes it for almost everyone. Choose your device:

  1. 1Open Settings → Network & Internet
  2. 2Choose Wi-Fi or Ethernet
  3. 3Click Edit under DNS server assignment
  4. 4Select Manual and turn on IPv4
  5. 5Preferred DNS: 1.1.1.1 · Alternate DNS: 1.0.0.1
  6. 6Click Save

Troubleshooting

Common snags

“Invalid server” error
Server names are broker-specific and must match exactly, for example Exness-MT5Real8. Copy the name from your broker’s portal rather than typing it from memory.
The connection won’t authorise
Use your main trading password, not the investor (read-only) password, and check your broker allows the account to trade.
A symbol won’t resolve
Some brokers add prefixes or suffixes to symbol names. Pipflow matches them automatically; if one still fails, choose your broker’s exact name from the symbol picker.
Why would Pipflow be blocked where I live?
Some internet providers, including several in the UAE, block cloud services that many international sites depend on. It isn’t specific to Pipflow, and switching DNS gets around it.
Is changing DNS safe? Will it slow my internet?
Yes, it is safe with reputable providers such as Cloudflare or Google, and it is often faster than your provider’s default DNS. You can switch back at any time.
